The key to the Spike Race rim's stiffness and strength is Spank's patented Ooh-Bah™ rim inner wall - the rim has a concave-convex (corrugated) inner wall instead of the flat or concave (inwardly curved) wall found on other rims
the SPANK Spike Race rim is joined and held together by an aluminium sleeve, rather than welded or attached with small pins, minimising possible stresses in this area
The BeadBite™ system features a knurled area near the sidewall of the rim to help keep the tire firmly seated
To make seating the tyre a little easier, we recommend using a narrower rim tape, such as a rubber rim tape, to prevent the tyre coming into contact with the rim tape edge

Patented technology with a concave-convex (corrugated) inner wall instead of the flat or concave wall (curved inward) found on other rims. The convex tube cavity profile increases the stiffness tremendously compared to other rims currently available. In addition, OohBah™ technology allows for optimized construction and a significant reduction in overall weight to offer the stiffest rim and great value for money.
A patented technology of knurling inside the rim next to the sidewalls to help keep the tire in the rim. Simply put, it's a series of small parallel indentations inside the rim bead. The bead of the tire connects with these notches to form a much more secure and sealed connection, greatly reducing the likelihood of the tire popping out of the bead and losing air, even at very low tire pressures.
Is a dynamically aged, complex and highly enriched magnesium-silicon alloy that is blended with a special "secret" hardening metal. Compared to statically aged traditional alloy types, Dynamal exhibits another significant increase in tensile strength and yield strength without the usual reduction in fatigue life. Dynamal offers unmatched stiffness and resistance to permanent deformation.
